Sig's Hot Spicy Tofu
- 1 red onion , roughly chopped
- 1 medium red chilli, seeds removed, chopped finely
- 3 clove garlic , chopped roughly
- 1 1/2 inch of fresh ginger , peeled roughly chopped
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1 3/4 tsp dried thyme
- 1 1/4 tsp ground allspice
- 1 pinch fresh ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3 tsp olive oil
- 3 tsp dark muscovado sugar
- 3 tsp cherry or raspberry vinegar
- 1 tbsp clear runny honey
- 500 grams of tofu, cut into even bite sized pieces.
- Chop up all ingredients except the tofu.
- Puree down into a smooth paste
- Grill the marinaded pieces of tofu from both sides until they are browned but not burned.
- Serve with rice, or over fruit of choice as seen here
