Haystacks
- 1 (6 ounce) package butterscotch chips
- 1 (5 ounce) package chow mein noodles
- 1 -2 cup peanuts (optional) or 1 -2 cup cashews (optional)
- In the top of a double broiler, melt Butterscotch chips over boiling water at low heat.
- Stir occasionally until all melted.
- Remove from heat and stir quickly to prevent sticking.
- Mix in Chow Mein noodles and nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto wax paper.
- Let stand until firm.
- Can be refrigerated.
