The Mighty Bacon Cheeseburger

  1. Put about a 1/4 of a bag of Charcoal in a Charcoal Chimmny and light it.
  2. Combine the ground beef and ground pork in a bowl.
  3. Add the A-1 Steak Sauce, cayenne Pepper, minced garlic, and paprika to the ground beef and pork mixture; mix together well.
  4. Form the patties by taking a ring (about 4 to 5 inches across and 1 to 2 inches high) and placing it on a plate; fill it with about 1/8 of the meat mixture.
  5. Add about 1/4 of the cheese mixture.
  6. Add another 1/8 of the meat mixture and press together with something heavy, to make sure that the cheese mixture doesn't come out of the patty when you are cooking.
  7. (I use a plate with a brick on it)
  8. Repeat this step till you have 4 patties.
  9. When your grill reaches 450 degrees Fahrenheit, add the patties and cook for about 7 to 8 mintues on each side.
  10. I test this with a meat thermometer and stick it about 1/4 of the way into the patty; it should be about 165 degrees Fahrenheit when it is cooked.
  11. Push the probe in until you feel it loosen up a bit which means you either poked all the way through or you reached the cheese.
  12. If you can't see the probe through the other side of the patty, it should read about 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
  13. While the patties are cooking, put a frying pan on the grill next to the patties.
  14. Once the pan reaches about 300 degrees Fahrenheit add the bacon (which I microwave on high for 1 mintue to speed up the cooking process).
  15. Put the brick on the bacon to keep it from curling up; only do this because the bacon cooks faster and makes it easier to eat the burger when it is done.
  16. Butter the buns with melted butter and grill for about 1/2 to1 minute.
  17. Take the buns off the grill and put the patties on the buns.
  18. Add the bacon over the patty.
  19. Add any condiments you choose.

ground beef, ground pork, original sauce, cayenne pepper, garlic, paprika, bacon, cheddar cheese, colbymonterey, buns
