Ice Skating Wonderland Cake
- 1 pkg. (2-layer) white cake mix
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) JELL-O Strawberry Flavor Gelatin
- 1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
- 2 drops blue food coloring
- blue decorating gel
- 20 candy-coated chocolate pieces
- 6 bear-shaped graham snacks
- 2 ice cream cones
- green decorating icing
- 2 Tbsp. BAKER'S ANGEL FLAKE Coconut
- 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- Prepare cake batter and bake in 2 (9-inch) round pans as directed on package.
- Cool cakes in pans 15 min.
- (Do not remove cakes from pans.)
- Add boiling water to gelatin mixes; stir 2 min.
- until completely dissolved.
- Pierce cakes with large fork or skewer at 1/2-inch intervals.
- Pour gelatin over cakes.
- Refrigerate 4 hours.
- Unmold 1 cake layer onto serving plate; spread with 1/2 cup COOL WHIP.
- Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on top of first layer.
- Frost top and side of cake with 2 cups of the remaining COOL WHIP.
- Tint remaining COOL WHIP with food coloring; spread on top of cake to resemble ice rink.
- Outline outside edge of "ice rink" with decorating gel.
- Refrigerate 1 hour.
- Decorate top of cake with candy-coated chocolate pieces.
- Add graham snacks for the "ice skaters."
- Decorate ice cream cones with green decorating icing; place around ice rink.
- Sprinkle cake with coconut then sugar.
