Cherries With Almonds and Mint
- 1 lb cherries, pitted
- 1 12 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 12 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 5 -6 mint leaves, chopped

- Warm cherries and sugar in a nonstick pan until the sugar begins to dissolve and cherries release their juices.

- Add the amaretto and lemon juice and cook until the liquid starts to reduce.

- Place cherries and liquid into serving bowls (with or without ice cream) and top with almonds and mint.
