Ginger Martini with Sake
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons simple syrup (equal amounts sugar and water heated until sugar is dissolved, cool)
- Vodka, very cold
- Sake, very cold
- Crushed ice
- Paper thin cucumber slices, for garnish
- Muddle the ginger and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Add the vodka, sake, and crushed ice, to taste, and shake to combine.
- Strain into a chilled martini glass and serve.
