Canadian Beef Stew Recipe

  1. Cut meat in 1 inch cubes.
  2. Chop onions and pare and dice potato to make 2 c.. Also pare and dice carrots.
  3. Mix flour, salt and pepper in bag.
  4. Dust meat with flour, then brown in oil covered pan.
  5. Add in onion, broth and wine.
  6. Cover tightly.
  7. Simmer slowly 1 1/2 hrs until tender.
  8. Skim off any fat.
  9. Add in the potatoes, carrots, parsley flakes and seasoning to pot.
  10. Cover and simmer an additional 30 minutes.
  11. Serves 4
