Cheese 'n Ham Spirals

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Beat egg and water until blended; set aside.
  3. Roll out pastry sheet on lightly floured surface into 14x10-inch rectangle; cut lengthwise in half.
  4. Brush lightly with some of the egg wash.
  5. Sprinkle 1 pastry piece with 3 Tbsp.
  6. cheese and pepper; top with meat.
  7. Cover with remaining pastry piece, egg-side down.
  8. Roll gently with rolling pin to seal.
  9. Brush with half of the remaining egg wash.
  10. Roll up tightly to form 14-inch log, starting at one long side.
  11. Cut log crosswise into 24 slices.
  12. Place, cut-sides down, on parchment-covered baking sheet.
  13. Brush with remaining egg wash; sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  14. Bake 12 to 14 min.
  15. or until golden brown.
  16. Serve warm or at room temperature.
