The French 75
- 6 raw sugar or brown sugar cubes
- 1 orange
- 1 lemon
- 6 ounces gin
- 1 bottle sparkling wine
- Put a sugar cube in each of 6 Champagne glasses.
- Use a vegetable peeler to remove a few pieces of orange peel.
- Trace around the rim of each Champagne glass with the orange peel to give it that hint of orange.
- Halve the orange and squeeze some juice into each glass.
- Add a squeeze of lemon juice to each glass also.
- Add 1-ounce of gin to each glass.
- Stir to blend and top with sparkling wine.
- Serve immediately.
- This can be made in a pitcher as well.
