Beef Chili

  1. In a large dutch oven, saute onion, celery and beef in olive oil over medium-high heat until meat is brown and veg is tender.
  2. Add garlic and chili powder, stir 30 seconds.
  3. Add chili, green bell pepper, tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, salt and pepper, bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce to a simmer, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Add mushrooms, simmer uncovered for 15 minutes.
  6. Serve with cheddar cheese and sour cream if desired.
