Hot Toddy
- 2 ounces light rum (or dark rum)
- 1 12 teaspoons sugar
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 slice lemon
- boiling water
- Place a silver spoon in a heavy Old Fashion glass or heat-proof mug to prevent cracking.
- Add rum, sugar, cloves and lemon slice.
- Fill with boiling water.
- Stir and serve.
- Note: Hot Buttered Toddy: Add 1 TBS of butter before pouring in boiling water.
