Halloween Party Pops

  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Combine 1 cup butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar in bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
  5. Add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and cinnamon; beat at low speed until dough forms a ball.
  6. Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.
  7. Place 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Flatten each to about 2 inches wide with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
  9. Insert craft stick to center of each cookie.
  10. Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  11. Let stand 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.
  12. Cool completely.
  13. Combine powdered sugar and 1/4 cup butter in bowl.
  14. Beat at medium speed, gradually adding enough half & half for desired spreading consistency.
  15. Tint with food color, if desired.
  16. Frost cookies; top with decorator candies or sprinkle with decorator sugars, if desired.
