Halloween Party Pops
- 1 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Sugar
- 30 wooden craft or lollipop sticks
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 3 to 4 tablespoons Land O Lakes Half & Half or Fat Free Half & Half
- Food color, if desired
- Decorator candies or sugars, if desired
- Heat oven to 375F.
- Combine 1 cup butter, brown sugar and 1/2 cup sugar in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed.
- Add flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and cinnamon; beat at low speed until dough forms a ball.
- Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls.
- Place 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Flatten each to about 2 inches wide with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
- Insert craft stick to center of each cookie.
- Bake 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Let stand 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to cooling rack.
- Cool completely.
- Combine powdered sugar and 1/4 cup butter in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, gradually adding enough half & half for desired spreading consistency.
- Tint with food color, if desired.
- Frost cookies; top with decorator candies or sprinkle with decorator sugars, if desired.
