Laylah's Sausage and Peppers Quiche.
- 1 thawed 9 in. deep dish pie shell
- 1 lb Breakfast sausage
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 1 chopped onion
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 5 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- Preheat oven to 425F.
- Poke fork holes in thawed pie shell.
- bake for 5-8 minutes until lightly browned.
- After taking pre-baked crust out, reduce oven temperature to 350F.
- crumble and fry sausage with onions and peppers until sausage is cooked.
- drain excess grease.
- sprinkle cheese evenly into bottom of crust
- sprinkle sausage mixture onto cheese evenly
- beat together eggs, milk and salt and pepper and pour over top of sausage
- bake in oven for 35-40 minutes until knife inserted into center comes out clean
