Great Maple Syrup Nut Cake

  1. In a large bowl, beat all cake ingredients, except nuts, with electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds.
  2. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes .Fold in pecans.
  3. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
  5. Cool 15 minutes.
  6. Remove from pan to cooling rack.
  7. Frosting:.
  8. In a large bowl, beat powdered sugar, 3 tbsps.
  9. butter, the cream cheese and 3 tbsps.
  10. of the syrup with electric mixer on low speed.
  11. Beat in enough of the remaining syrup to make a smooth, soft frosting that will flow down the sides of cake.
  12. Spread frosting over cake.
