Beer and Molasses Barbecue Sauce

  1. Mix all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat; simmer until sauce thickens and is reduced to 2 cups, stirring frequently, about 15 minutes.
  4. Cool completely before using.
  5. (Can be made 1 week ahead.
  6. Cover and chill.)
