Slow Cooker Chicken and Dressing

  1. Boil large fryer, cool, debone and set aside.
  2. Set broth in fridge until cold.
  3. Remove fat from top.
  4. Chop one bunch of celery and one large onion and cook slowly in chicken fat.
  5. Add the chicken broth (rewarmed).
  6. Add salt,pepper,and sage to taste.
  7. Add 2 parts cornbread and 1 part whitebread, mix until smooth.
  8. Add 2 beaten eggs.
  9. Mix until the right consistency.
  10. Add chicken and cook in slow-cooker on HIGH setting about 2 hours.
