Alsatian Tarte Flambe Recipe

  1. On a lightly floured flat surface, role the pastry to 1/8" thickness.
  2. Cut into disks about 3-1/4 to 4 inches in diameter and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Place in freezer till dough is frzn.
  4. Mix together quark, cream, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  5. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Farenheit.
  6. Remove puff pastry rounds from freezer.
  7. Poke pastry with a fork.
  8. Spread a small portion of cheese mix on each pastry disk.
  9. Scatter with onion and bacon.
  10. Bake on bottom rack of oven for ten min, or possibly till the underside of the puff pastry is a dark, golden.
  11. Serve hot.
