Old Fashioned Coconut Pie

  1. In medium saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and flour. Gradually stir in milk.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  3. Stir 1 cup hot mixture into egg yolks; immediately return to saucepan and hot mixture.
  4. Cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes longer.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup coconut, margarine and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
  6. Pour into pie shell and bake for 30 minutes in oven at 350u0b0.
