Basic Moisturizer
- 14 cup light vegetable oil
- 14 cup stearic acid, powder
- 12 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons glycerine
- 1 cup distilled water
- Combine oil and stearic acid poswder in the top of a hot water bath.
- Combine the baking soda, glycerine and distilled water in a measuring cup and set aside.
- Heat the oil and stearic acid in a water bath on the stove top until the mixture is a clear liquid and all the powder has dissolved.
- Heat the water-mixture until just boiling (about 2 minutes in the microwave or 5 minutes stove-top).
- Slowly add the boiling water to the oil-mixture.
- As you do this, the mixture will foam up as carbon dioxide is released.
- Pour the entire mixture into a blender and blend on high for 2 minutes, after which the mixture should be white, fluffy and creamy.
- Spoon the cream into a bowl and allow to cool completely.
- Once cooled completely, stir and store in a clean container with a lid.
- To use: massage a small amount onto your face and neck.
