Easy and Super Tasty Pork and Winter Melon Simmered in Honey
- 150 grams Thinly sliced pork belly
- 1/4 Winter melon
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce (I use usukuchi soy sauce)
- 2 tbsp Honey
- 300 ml Dashi soup stock (dashi powder dissolved in water is fine)
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- Remove the seeds and peel the winter melon.
- Cut the winter melon and pork to desired sizes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the pork.
- Once the pork browns, add the winter melon and fry together.
- Add the dashi soup stock and set to medium heat once it comes to a boil.
- Add the soy sauce and honey, then simmer.
- Transfer to a serving plate and you're done.
