Chili
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes with juice
- 1 large onion, cut in pieces
- 1 large green pepper, cut in pieces
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (15 oz.) can red kidney beans with liquid
- Use food processor and finely chop the clove of garlic.
- Brown garlic with ground beef.
- Put tomatoes, onion and green pepper in blender; blend well.
- Onions and green pepper will be larger pieces, so don't blend too much.
- Add to meat in skillet.
- Add tomato paste and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer and cook 1 hour.
- Add kidney beans; heat through.
- Serve with oyster crackers or crusty French bread.
