cerise,tickled, pickled eggs
- 15 oz jar pickled beetroot
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup white destilled vinegar
- 1 small onion,sliced thinly
- 4 small pickling chilli
- 6 medium eggs ,about a week old
- place the eggs into a saucepan of cold water,bring to boil for 2 minutes.take off heat cover and leave to stand for 12-15 minutes.drain ,rinse in cold wate and peel .
- in the meantime combine beets ,beetjuice,sugar,vinegar,onions and little chilli in a saucepan and bring to boil
- place the eggs in a clean jar,pour the hod liquid over including the onions and chilli.
- disgard the beet.make sure all eggs are covered with liquid.
- cover with lid,store in refridgerator over night .
- a perfect pickled egg will have all the white through to the yolk pink.
- so you have a cerice egg,yellow egg yolk and a good flavour.
- perhaps drive home with your window open .lol
