Tofu and Cabbage Okonomiyaki

  1. Add the tofu (without draining) into a bowl and mash.
  2. Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and cut your favourite ingredients as well.
  3. Add the ingredients into the bowl with the tofu, and mix in the bonito flavoured dashi stock granules.
  4. Transfer the Step 2 mixture onto a flat plate, smooth it out, then cover with plastic wrap.
  5. Microwave for 6 minutes.
  6. When it's cooked, remove from the microwave, swirl the sauce on, and you're done.
  7. It's ok even if the shape of okonomiyaki collapses after microwaving.
  8. Flatten it again along the shape of the plate, then it will go back to the original shape.
