Chocolate Almond Teas
- 12 cup butter, soft
- 14 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup flour, sifted
- 12 cup almonds, toasted and finely chopped
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
- 34 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted (optional)
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Combine butter, sugar, water, vanilla, and salt and beat till creamy.
- Add the flour and almonds and mix well.
- Add the chocolate morsels.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 F for 12 minutes.
- Roll while warm in confectioners' sugar.
