Blackberry Basil Grilled Cheese
- 6 slices French Bread, Thick
- 2 Tablespoons Softened Butter
- 6 ounces, weight Fresh Blackberries
- 15 whole Basil Leaves, Chopped
- 8 ounces, weight White Cheddar Cheese
- Butter one side of your bread slices, then set aside.
- In a large bowl, smash the blackberries with a fork and then stir in the basil.
- Warm a skillet over medium-low heat.
- Place half of the slices of bread in the skillet, butter side down.
- Add a thin layer of cheese on top of each slice of bread.
- Spread with 2 tablespoons of the blackberry mixture, then another thin layer of cheese.
- Top with remaining bread slices.
- Toast in skillet, about 3-5 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melted.
- Enjoy!
