Matar Chakhakri

  1. Mix maida, 2 tbsp.
  2. oil, salt and water to make a pliable dough.
  3. Mix the filling ingredients except salt together well.
  4. Taste and adjust salt.
  5. Roll out the maida thinly into a rectangular shape.
  6. Spread the filling, leaving approximately a 1/4-inch border all around.
  7. Pat the filling so that it settles.
  8. Roll it tight.
  9. Seal the open long edge using a little water.
  10. Cut into 1-cm.
  11. slices.
  12. Take each slice and press gently between your palms and deep-fry in hot oil until light brown.
  13. Serve with tomato ketchup.
