Egg In A Basket
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 Piece of bread (I used multi grain)
- 1 Tub Butter
- 1 large Shot Glass
- 1 Spatula
- 1 Medium to Large Skillet
- Using a large shot glass cut out a circle from the center of bread.
- Melt about 3 large spoonfulls of butter in medium sized skillet over medium low heat.
- Soak butter into one side of toast then flip and crack an egg in the middle.
- Add seasonings to taste (I used thyme, garlic seasonings, and cracked pepper.
- It also is good made with italian seasoning and seasoned salt instead).
- Cover with lid and let cook slowly until top of egg looks less runny and the breads underside looks toasted.
- Then flip and continue cooking uncovered for another minute or so.
- Your finished product should look something like this.
- If you don't prefer over easy eggs then be sure to cook it covered for a little while longer before serving.
