Sauerkraut Soup Recipe

• 1 lg. piece of cured ham with bone
• 2 lbs. dry lima beans
• Water
• 6 potatoes
• 2 lg. cans sauerkraut, liquid removed

1. Put ham and lima beans in large pot and fill with water.
2. Cook 2 to 2 1/2 hrs.
3. Remove ham, let cold a little then spread the ham and place the ham back into the pot.
4. Peel 6 potatoes and cut into pcs.
5. Add in potatoes to soup.
6. When potatoes are done, take a potato masher and mash the ingredients in the soup for a few min.
7. Add in sauerkraut.
8. Cook 15 min more.
