Sunset Ember

  1. For Grenadine: Bring juice and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer to thicken slightly.
  3. let cool.
  4. Grendine will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 month.
  5. For Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine rum, juice, simple syrup,grenadine, and egg whites; shake well.
  6. Strain into 2 chilled cocktail glasses.
  7. Garnish each with a cherry.
