Grandma's Lazy Day Cake
- 2/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter
- 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 2/3 cups sugar
- 4 Land O Lakes Eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/3 cup Land O Lakes Butter, melted
- 1/3 cup Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream or milk
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Grease and flour 13x9-inch baking pan; set aside.
- Combine 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup whipping cream in 1-quart saucepan.
- Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, 6-7 minutes or until butter is melted.
- Set aside.
- Combine sugar and eggs in bowl.
- Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
- Add melted butter mixture, flour, baking powder and salt.
- Continue beating until well mixed.
- Spread batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Heat broiler.
- Stir together all frosting ingredients in bowl until well mixed.
- Spread over warm cake.
- Broil 2 to 4 inches from heat 2-4 minutes or until bubbly all over.
- Cool 15 minutes.
- Serve cake warm or cool.
