Batter Fried Oysters Recipe

  1. Drain oysters.
  2. Preheat oil in deep fryer to 375 .
  3. Combine Large eggs, water and horseradish sauce.
  4. Combine flour, salt, pepper and cayenne in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  5. Dip oysters in egg mix, then in seasoned flour to coat.
  6. Place side by side but not touching on a platter and allow to dry for a few min.
  7. When ready to fry the oysters, dip again in seasoned flour.
  8. Fry in batches of 6 to 8 till golden (about 3 min).
  9. Drain oysters by placing on a platter lined with paper towels.
  10. Can be set in a 200 oven till ready to serve.
  11. Yield: 4 servings.
