Tex Mex BBQ Wings
- 2 lb wings (or more)
- 1 tbsp dried oregano crushed
- 2 tsp lawry's seasoned salt
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp tex mex rub mix
- Mix rub ingredients and reserve 1 tablespoon for the bbq sauce.
- Season wings generously with the rub and refrigerate up to 24 hours.
- Set up your grill for Indirect Heat with a drip pan in the middle (add water).
- Place wings skin side up on the grill over the drip pan and cook at 350F for about 45 to 60 minutes.
- While the wings are cooking make the bbq sauce.
- Mix ingredients in a saucepan and gently simmer for about 5 minutes.
- (can be made a day or so in advance).
- Glazed wings with barbecue sauce.
- And cook for about 10 minutes.
- Glaze and continue cooking for about another 10 minutes.
- Glaze for a 3rd time and cook about 10 more minutes.
- Let rest 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
