Beach House Crab Cakes
- 12 cup Miracle Whip
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon brown mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 12 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 lb crab, Jumbo
- 20 saltine crackers, crushed
- 12 cup canola oil
- lemon wedge
- Whisk Miracle Whip and egg together.
- Add mustard, Worcestershire, and hot sauce until smooth.
- In a medium bowl toss crab and cracker crumbs together.
- Fold in whisked mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Scoop into 1/3 Cup mounds and pack into patties.
- Heat oil in a large skillet.
- Cook over high heat about 3 minutes on each side.
- OPTIONAL - I also put the patties into a 350 degree oven for approx 15-20 minutes after having cooked them in the skillet.
- This allows all the other components of my meal to be prepared and ready as well as ensuring the crab is cooked and warmed through.
