Ziti
- 3 ounces, weight Chopped Prosciutto
- 1/2 boxes Ziti, Cooked Til Al Dente, 16 Ounce Box
- 1 jar Your Favorite Sauce (tomato/spaghetti), 24 Ounce Jar
- 4- 1/2 ounces, weight Parmesan Cheese, Shredded
- 8 ounces, weight Ball Of Fresh Mozzarella
- 1.
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- 2.
- Over medium heat cook chopped prosciutto until crispy (about 5 minutes).
- 3.
- In a large bowl combine the cooked ziti (cook it according to package instructions for al dente), sauce, cooked prosciutto and 1/2 of the Parmesan cheese.
- Stir until fully combined.
- 4.
- Pour into a 9x9-baking dish.
- 5.
- Cut up fresh mozzarella and mix it into pasta.
- Reserve 5-6 slices for top.
- 6.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- 7.
- Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
- (Note: I highly recommend placing on top of a cookie sheet to cook.
- This will help to catch any spillage).
- 8.
- Remove cover and cook and additional 5-10 minutes, or until cheese on top is fully melted and pasta is bubbling.
- 9.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
- Serve.
