Mushroom-Ham Brochettes with Garlic Mayonnaise

  1. Alternate 5 ham squares and 4 mushrooms on each skewer.
  2. Brush skewers with 2 tablespoons oil.
  3. (Skewers can be made 6 hours ahead.
  4. Cover and chill.)
  5. Brush heavy large skillet with remaining 1 tablespoon oil; heat over medium heat.
  6. Add skewers and cook until mushrooms are brown and softened, turning occasionally, about 12 minutes.
  7. Season skewers with salt.
  8. Serve, passing garlic mayonnaise separately.
