Tuna Burgers
- 1 cup soft breadcrumbs (about 2 slices cut into tiny cubes with crusts removed)
- 12 cup original Bisquick baking mix
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 12 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning (can use more depending on your taste preference)
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 celery ribs, diced
- 14 cup green onion, thinly sliced
- 14 cup onion, diced
- 2 (7 ounce) canschunk white albacore tuna in water, drained
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- sandwich bun, split
- 4 -5 tablespoons dill pickles, dip to use if you eat them like burgers
- In a med.
- bowl, mix all ingredients except abutter, buns and dill dip.
- Let sit about 5 minutes.
- Shape into patties (aabout 2 inches thick, but can make them 3 1/2 inches thick if you prefer thicker burgers but use about 1/2 c or less for each patty).
- In a 12 inch skillet melt margarine over med.
- heat.
- Add patties to skillet when hot and cook 10-12 minutes, turning once until nicely browned on both sides and well cooked through.
- Serve on a bun with the dill dip, tomatoes, red onions and lettuce Or, you can place them in a casserole dish and cover them with spaghetti cause and bake them for 30 minutes and use them as a side dish for a meal.
