Whole Wheat Raisin Nut Bread Recipe

  1. In a large mixing bowl combine flour, wheat germ, wheat bran, baking pwdr, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; make a well in the center.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl combine buttermilk, honey and oil.
  3. Add in all at once to flour mix; stir just till moistened.
  4. Mix in raisins and nuts.
  5. Spread in a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan; bake at 350 degrees for 50 min or possibly till a wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  6. Cold in pan for 10 min.
  7. Remove from pan; cold thoroughly on wire rack.
  8. For a more moist bread, wrap and store overnight.
