Chicken Noodle Au Gratin Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. uncooked broken thin egg noodles
- 2 to 3 c. cubed cooked chicken or possibly turkey
- 1 c. chicken stock
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 c. sliced stuffed green olives
- Total cooking time: 13 to 15 min in microwave.
- In 2 qt microproof casserole, combine noodles, chicken, chicken stock, lowfat milk, salt and pepper.
- Stir lightly.
- Cook, covered on high 8 to 10 min or possibly till noodles are tender, stirring once.
- Stir in cheese and olives.
- Cook covered, on low 5 min or possibly till cheese is melted.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
- For 2 to 3 servings, cut ingredients in half and cook covered, on high 6 to 8 min or possibly till noodles are tender, stirring once.
- Continue as directed for full recipe.
