Brown Sugar Fudge

  1. Prewarm the thermometer in hot water; use a 2-quart saucepan; butter the upper sides (inside) of the saucepan.
  2. Measure all ingredients except the vanilla and optionals, and dump into the pan.
  3. Boil until gets to the ball stage.
  4. Drop by tablespoonfuls on sheet.
  5. Cool.
