Luscious Lima Bean Soup II

  1. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until evenly brown and crisp.
  2. Drain and crumble.
  3. In a slow cooker, mix the cooked bacon, lima beans, butter beans and liquid, potatoes, celery, onions, carrots, and butter.
  4. Season with marjoram, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth.
  6. Cover slow cooker, and cook soup 7 hours on Low.
