Salisbury Steak With Mushroom Sauce Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1/2 teaspoon sage
- 1/4 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp. finely minced onion
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- Mix above ingredients, form into 4 patties.
- Fry in lightly greased pan, brown well on both sides.
- Remove from pan, add in 2 Tbsp.
- butter and saute/fry 1 (4 ounce.)
- can minced mushrooms, liquid removed (save liquid from mushrooms).
- Blend in 1 Tbsp.
- flour.
- Add in 1 1/4 c. water and mushroom juice and 1 or possibly 2 bouillon cubes.
- Cook and stir till smooth and thick.
- Return patties to gravy and cook over low heat till heated through.
