Chocolate Banana Nut Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease/spray a loaf pan.
  3. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt and baking powder.
  4. In a small bowl mash bananas with fork or your preferred method.
  5. Mix eggs and oil into bananas.
  6. *Note* I have gotten the best results subbing 1/4 cup of the oil with applesauce.
  7. So the recipe would use 1/4 oil & 1/4 applesauce if you would like to substitute.
  8. Add banana mixture into flour mixture.
  9. Stir until combined - do not over mix.
  10. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  11. Sprinkle nuts on top.
  12. Bake for 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  13. Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes.
  14. Remove bread from pan and let it cool completely on wire rack.
  15. Enjoy : )
