Herb Pilaf Recipe

  1. Put 1 stick butter in a frying pan.
  2. Add in onions, leeks, shallots and rice.
  3. Put over moderate heat, watch carefully as the onions brown easily.
  4. Add in more butter if necessary; it will all be absorbed.
  5. Cook till rice is browned; watch which is does not burn.
  6. Pour 2 c. chicken broth over the whole, add in salt and cover.
  7. Cook till rice tests done.
  8. Add in mixed herbs and a tsp.
  9. of butter.
