Sata Andagi Okinawan Doughnuts

  1. Combine the white flour and baking powder, and sift.
  2. Beat the eggs in a bowl.
  3. Add the sugar, and mix with a whisk.
  4. Add the oil, and continue mixing.
  5. Mix the Step 2 mixture into the Step 1 dry ingredients in 3 batches.
  6. Mix each time.
  7. Switch to a spatula, and fold it in!
  8. Let it rest for about 20 minutes in the fridge.
  9. You don't have to do it, but the dough will come together easily after this.
  10. Grease your hands with oil (excluded from the recipe), and roll the dough into balls.
  11. Deep-fry in oil at 160C.
  12. Deep-fry slowly at a low temperature.
  13. When the surfaces crack and become golden brown, they should be done.
  14. These ones have sesame seeds inside I just added 2 tablespoons of black sesame seeds into the dough!
  15. They are delicious.
  16. When you roll the dough into small balls, you can make about 50 pieces of bite-sized doughnuts!
  17. They are crispy and tasty.
