Chili Mac
- 16 oz bag of elbow noodles
- 1 lb ground beef 80/20 mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 14 oz can of tomato or spaghetti sauce
- 14 oz can of dice tomatoes, I prefer petite
- 6 oz can of tomato paste
- 1/4 onion, chopped
- 1/4 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 clove of fresh garlic, chopped
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 salt and pepper
- 1 dash of red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp olive oil
- Brown ground beef, onions, and bell pepper.
- (Drain set aside)
- Start large pot filled with water.
- With a dash of salt and one tsp of olive oil on medium high.
- In a large pot add one tsp of olive oil and sautee garlic.
- Add the sauce, paste, water, and other other seasonings with garlic.
- Bring pot to soft boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 mins.
- Add meat and simmer for another 7-10 mins.
- *if sauce thickens add a little more sauce/water
- Add pasta to boiling water and cook until aldente.
- (Drain) add to meat sauce, mix well, and enjoy.
