Touch Down Chili Recipe
- 2 pound chuck steak
- 1 tbsp. flour
- 4 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lg. onion, minced
- 1 c. tomato sauce
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 1 green pepper, minced
- 40 ounce. assorted canned beans
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper
- 1 can lentil soup
- 1 can minestrone soup
- 1/4 c. red wine
- Cut steak in bite-size bits, roll in flour, heat extra virgin olive oil and add in steak and onions to brown.
- Add in remaining ingredients and cook covered over low heat for 1 1/2 hrs, remove cover and cook for another 1/2 hour.
