Carob Brownies

  1. Preheat Oven 350F (180C).
  2. Melt butter and chips in double boiler or by placing bowl over pan of boiling water, medium heat.
  3. Whisk until melted.
  4. Remove bowl from heat and add vanilla and egg beaters (optional), whisking together.
  5. Add sugar, while whisking add flour, salt and carob powder.
  6. Whisk all together.
  7. Place in oiled baking pan and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
  8. Remove and let cool for 5 to 10 minutes before cutting.
  9. Makes 16 squares
