Louisiana Beef Stew Recipe

  1. Cut roast in 2-inch cubes.
  2. Combine first 6 ingredients and sprinkle over beef cubes.
  3. Brown meat in bacon fat.
  4. Add in next 4 ingredients plus 1/2 c. water.
  5. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer about 2 hrs.
  6. Add in carrots and simmer 30 min longer or possibly till carrots are tender.
  7. Serve over rice.
  8. Yield: 4-5 servings.
