Unusual Frozen Cake
- 1 regular size box white cake mix
- milk instead of water
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 3/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 tsp. burnt sugar flavoring or vanilla
- whipped topping
- Add milk (instead of water) to cake mix, using the same amount as box instructs for water.
- Add vanilla and chopped nuts.
- Grease and flour a 9 x 13-inch pan.
- Pour batter into pan.
- Do not bake. Cover pan with foil or tight fitting lid and freeze overnight.
- The next day, combine brown sugar, cocoa, boiling water and flavoring or vanilla, stir well.
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Take cake from freezer, remove foil and pour cocoa mixture over frozen cake. Immediately bake for one hour or until done.
- Cool.
- Refrigerate if you like.
- Cut into squares.
- Remove squares with cake server and place upside-down on plate.
- Top with whipped topping.
