Boston Cream Pie Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease and flour round layer pan (9 x 1/2 inch).
  3. Beat all ingredients (except filling and glaze) in large mixer bowl on low speed, scraping bowl constantly, 30 seconds.
  4. Beat on high speed, scraping bowl occasionally for 3 min.
  5. Pour into pan.
  6. Bake till wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean - about 35 min.
  7. Cold 10 min, remove from pan.
  8. Cold completely.
  9. Split cake horizontally into halves.
  10. Fill layers with cream filling; spread top of cake with chocolate glaze.
